FAQ

Common questions about link behavior, editing permissions, expiration, and operational usage.

February 25, 2026

How long does a link stay valid?

A link can be set to expire after 1, 7, or 30 days.

Expired links are no longer available for viewers.

For recurring events, set a long duration only if location details are stable.

Can I update a link after sharing it?

Yes. Signed-in owners can update details from the edit page.

Anonymous pages can only be claimed from the device that created them, so sign in there before you lose access.

When in doubt, create a replacement share and notify attendees with the new view link.

What is the difference between view access and management access?

View links are read-only and intended for general distribution.

Management access belongs to the signed-in owner, or to a valid same-device claim for an anonymous page.

Never rely on a public view link as proof that you can edit the page later.

Can I remove a shared location?

Yes. Open the edit page from the owning account and delete the share.

Deleted entries are not visible on public view links.

If attendees still have old messages, send a new valid link directly after deletion.

Why does a link show an expired state?

The creator may have set an expiration period that has ended.

Expired links intentionally return a gone state so attendees know the location is no longer active.

Contact the organizer to request a refreshed link.

What should I avoid putting in notes?

Avoid personally sensitive data such as private phone numbers, identity numbers, or private access credentials.

Use concise instructions focused on meeting logistics and public navigation clues.

If extra details are necessary, share them through private channels, not public view links.
